Adding funds to your wallet
Updated 2 min read
Orders are paid from your account balance, held in US dollars. Today you can add funds by card. Cryptocurrency and PayPal are coming soon. There is no subscription and no monthly minimum.
Steps
- Select Add funds in the top bar, or open Billing and select Add funds.
- Enter the Amount, or pick one of the common amounts. A single deposit is between 5 and 5,000 US dollars.
- Under Payment method, choose Credit or debit card. A method shown as Temporarily unavailable cannot be used yet.
- Enter the card details, then select Deposit.
Expected result
The deposit status page reports the amount added and your new balance once the payment provider confirms it; nothing else is needed from you. The deposit is listed under Billing > Deposits, with its invoice.
If it fails
| Situation | What to do |
|---|---|
Confirm your email address appears |
Open the link in the confirmation email first. Deposits need a confirmed address. |
Identity verification required |
Complete verification under My account > Identity. See Identity verification and sanctions screening. |
The payment is shown as pending |
The card provider has not confirmed it yet. Card payments can be held for verification. |
The card was declined |
Try another card. Repeated card attempts in a short period are limited. |
Keep the balance topped up automatically
- Open Billing > Payment methods and save a card with Add a card.
- Under Automatic deposits, switch on Refill my balance automatically.
- Set When my balance falls below and Refill amount, then select Save changes.
The saved card is charged whenever the balance drops below the threshold. If a charge fails, automatic deposits are switched off and you receive an email.
