Buying residential or mobile traffic (coming soon)
Updated 2 min read
Residential and mobile proxies are coming soon and cannot be ordered yet. This article describes how buying their traffic works.
Residential and mobile are bought by the gigabyte. An order creates a proxy with its own credentials and a traffic allowance. A further order creates a separate proxy; adding traffic to an existing proxy is done with Buy bandwidth on that proxy instead.
How an order is priced
An order is a number of GB, paid from your account balance. The rate per GB falls as the order grows, and the whole order is charged at the rate it reaches. See How prices, volume discounts and term discounts apply.
Adding traffic to an existing proxy
Buy bandwidth on the proxy's page adds traffic to that proxy. It is charged once from your balance, and the traffic is added as soon as the payment clears.
Auto-buy
Where the proxy's status card shows an Auto-buy switch, switching it on makes the proxy buy one more month before it expires, charged from your balance. The renewal adds the traffic amount of the original order again. Auto-buy needs funds in the balance; to keep the balance itself topped up, see Adding funds to your wallet.
When traffic runs out
Requests stop when the allowance is spent. The proxy page warns Nearly out before that happens, and a residential proxy sends one email when little traffic remains. Any expiry date or retirement note that applies to the proxy is shown on its status card.
