Turning off renewal and closing your account

Updated 2 min read

There is no subscription to cancel. Charges come only from orders you place, from Auto-buy on a proxy, and from automatic deposits if you turned them on, so stopping a service usually means switching those off and letting it run out. What you can do yourself depends on the state of the order.

An order you have not paid for

Open Orders, select the order and choose Cancel this order. This works only while the order is still unpaid.

An active ISP or datacenter proxy

An active proxy cannot be cancelled from the dashboard. To stop paying for it, switch Auto-buy off on the proxy's page; it then runs to its Expires date and stops. A term already paid for is not refundable once the addresses were delivered and work. See Refunds: what qualifies and how they are paid.

An order that was never delivered

It is cancelled automatically and the amount returns to your balance. If that has not happened, write to support@proxyforge.io within 14 days of placing the order.

Closing the account

  1. If you want any unused balance refunded, write to support@proxyforge.io before you delete the account.
  2. Open My account > Security and select Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm, and select Delete account again.

The request is recorded and reviewed by staff; your services and balance stay as they are until it has been dealt with. Once it is approved, the account is deleted and you receive an email saying so. You can also close the account by writing to support@proxyforge.io.
