Switching from another proxy provider
Updated 2 min read
You do not need to cancel your current provider to start. Run both in parallel, move traffic by percentage, and shift the rest when your own measurements justify it. The process is described on the switching providers page.
What to send
An engineer maps your current setup against ours from four inputs. None of them requires access to your systems.
- Your current gateway endpoints and credential format, with passwords removed.
- The targeting parameters you use and how you pass them, for example in the username or by port.
- A week of usage data: volume, success rate and the mix of targets.
- Any address allowlists a third party holds on your behalf.
Send them to sales through the contact page.
During the parallel run
- Fund the wallet and order the lines that correspond to your current pools. Today that means ISP and datacenter; residential and mobile are coming soon and cannot be ordered yet. See Placing your first order.
- Send a share of live traffic through the new connection details and keep the rest where it is.
- Compare success rate, latency and block rate on your own monitoring.
- Raise the share when the numbers support it. Lowering it again is the same change in reverse.
You pay published per-order rates for the traffic you send during the comparison. There is no separate migration fee.
Static addresses held by third parties
If a partner allowlists your current static addresses, those addresses do not move with you. Order ISP or datacenter addresses first, give the partner the new addresses, and switch only after they confirm the change.
